Workshops > Sustainability in Engineering Education Workshop

Monday June 29, 4.30-6 pm in Pascal 202

During the last 10 years, sustainability has become part of the core competences for engineers, which can be seen in the accreditation criteria for engineering education. However, many engineering institutions have not responded to this challenge.
In this workshop, we will share knowledge on what and how sustainability can be integrated into Engineering Education (EE) and start up joint activities in order to enhance sustainability in engineering institutions.

We start up with 5 minutes elevator pitches with ideas, which we further will elaborate in groups.

At this point, the following two themes will be addressed:
Case collections of  “key challenges” or “best practice” within the field of engineering education for sustainability presented by the chair of this SEFI working group Jette Egelund Holgaard
Webinars on Sustainability and Engineering education arranged by the SEFI-working group together with the Aalborg Centre for Problem based learning in Engineering Science and Sustainability under the auspices of UNESCO presented by Aida Guerra.

If YOU have an idea please send an email to Jette Egelund Holgaard: jeh@plan.aau.dk and we will make room for your pitch.

JOIN the workshop and explore what different levels of participation this working group of sustainability and Engineering Education can do for you!
